Formed in January 2002 to provide support
to businesses wanting to leverage the use of the Internet for
business. Many small and medium size businesses are starting to
think about getting on the web. The services we provide begin
with assessing the needs of the client, design of the website,
building and finally promotion the site to Internet search engines.
For many years I have been helping friends build Internet sites
for their business and personal use. Decided it was time to make
it a business.
As the number of clients started to grow, found that a lot more
attention needed to be paid to search engine submission. In the
early days of the Internet, all you had to do was create a website
and submit it to Yahoo and your site would be indexed by all the
major search engines.
Yahoo's change to charging $299 per year for including in the
index has changed the strategy for many. Other search engines
are also following with yearly charges to be included or pay-per-click
options.
A must for getting indexed by many of the search engines is the
Open Directory Project (www.dmoz.org)
which is used by Google, MSN and others. |
